Your song in karaoke

Compile the following information for each song:

• Song title
• Performer/artist name
• Composers and lyricists
• Publisher(s). If there is no publisher, write Manus.
• ISRC code and ISWC code (if available)

Additionally, please provide:

• Contact details of the record label or other rights holder/publisher (name, email address, phone number)
• Contact details of the lyricist / publisher

Font
If you create the video yourself, please ensure that the font is clear and easy to read. The background color of the lyrics should always be white, and the highlight color must be sufficiently distinct to make singing easy.

Opening Frame of the Video
The opening frame of the video must display the Teosto information.

File Format and Size
Please deliver the video as a ready-made karaoke video in MP4 format (Full HD). A suitable file size is 10–30 MB.

Have a Karaoke Mix Made from the Song
A karaoke mix is the same as the original mix of the song, but with the lead vocal track (main vocal) removed. It is recommended to keep the backing vocal tracks in the mix, but an instrumental version also works.

Exceptions
If the song starts directly with vocals, add a count-in or an intro chord so the singer can join in at the right moment.

Synchronize the Versions
Make sure that the original version and the karaoke mix are synchronized with each other. If you add a count-in or sound at the beginning of the karaoke mix, add it to the original mix as well.

Quality
.wav or high-quality MP3 (320 kbps)

For subtitling the song, we require proofread lyrics that have been formatted to suit a karaoke video.

Remove all unnecessary punctuation from the lyrics (periods, commas, question marks, and quotation marks).

Format the song so that each line forms a “phrase.” One line should contain approximately 4–6 words. The first word of each line should always begin with a capital letter.

Please deliver the lyrics to us, for example, as a Word document.

The background image for your song can be of your choosing. The image must allow the lyrics to stand out clearly, and you must of course have the right to use it.

Best Practices

• The image is dark (or fairly dark).
• The image is “calm” so the text is easy to read.
• The image contains no inappropriate content (nudity, violence, etc.).

Backing Track

To add a song to the Feelment karaoke catalog, a distribution agreement is made with the rights holder. If the recording is owned by a record label, the agreement must be made with them.

Graphic Rights

Feelment enters into an agreement for graphic rights with the lyricist/publisher.

Songwriters receive royalties through Teosto. Compensation for graphic rights is paid separately to the lyricist/publisher.
