How a karaoke request becomes a song
The request is added to the list
Feelment receives hundreds of karaoke song requests every week. We record all requests on a shared wishlist, which is then forwarded to karaoke producers.
The number of requests matters
The more often a song is requested, the higher it rises on the priority list. The number of requests helps producers assess how much interest there is in a particular song.
Commercial viability is evaluated
Each song is evaluated to determine whether producing a karaoke version makes economic sense. Creating a karaoke backing track requires time, work, and investment. Less well-known songs are often sung less frequently, which means producing them is not always commercially viable.
Rights and permissions are checked
Before production can begin, all required rights and permissions must be in place. Creating a karaoke version requires, for example, permission to use the song’s lyrics. If the necessary rights cannot be obtained, the song cannot be produced for karaoke use.
The song is produced and added to the catalogue
If a song has received enough requests, is considered commercially viable, and all required rights have been secured, a karaoke version can be produced. Once completed, the new karaoke track is added to the catalogue. At Feelment, Antti is responsible for adding new songs to the karaoke catalogue.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that every request will be added to the karaoke catalogue. Production decisions depend on several factors, including the song’s popularity, production costs, and the availability of the necessary rights and permissions.
However, every request is recorded, and the more often a song is requested, the better its chances of making it into production.
A karaoke track is typically released in Feelment approximately 1–2 weeks after it has been placed in the production queue.
The venue name helps us understand how widely a song is being requested across different locations. If the same song is requested from multiple venues, it provides a strong indication of its popularity and helps producers evaluate its production potential.
