"The motorsport season culminates as champions are determined series by series"

"Although the Formula 1 championship is all but sealed with Max Verstappen and Red Bull dominating, the F1 season has never been tighter and more competitive. Other teams are pushing full throttle for podium finishes and championship points. In November, we can also look forward to the spectacular return of the spectacle to the calendar when Formula cars take over the streets of Las Vegas. No one wants to miss this show!

Our pit reporter, Mervi Kallio, will be on-site reporting through each race weekend. All F1 track events are narrated in Finnish on Viaplay. On Saturdays and Sundays, we'll, of course, have pre-race studios, and the days will be crowned with comprehensive post-race studios offering sharp analyses and exclusive interviews straight from the heart of the action.

"Who is the next Finnish Formula 1 driver?" – a question that rests on the lips of many Finnish motorsport fans. One potential option is 16-year-old Tuukka Taponen, driving in the Ferrari Driver Academy. You can follow the performances of this young talent in the Formula 4 series throughout the fall.

America's most popular motorsport series, NASCAR, has reached the playoff stage. There are 16 drivers left, and each week the ones with the fewest points are eliminated. The game is ruthless, and ultimately only the top four drivers will face each other in the championship race in November, where the 2023 season champion will be crowned.

In the premier class of motorcycle racing, MotoGP, there is still plenty to be excited about as more than a third of the season is still ahead, and everything is still open for the championship. All race weekends are narrated in Finnish on Viaplay.

"The English Premier League is already in full swing. The reigning champion, Manchester City, has been incredibly impressive in the early season, and Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has been scoring goals as he did last season. However, challengers like Tottenham, Liverpool, and Arsenal are still in strong positions.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich made a highly interesting addition when Harry Kane moved from the Premier League to Germany to play. From a Finnish perspective, there is great interest in Bayer Leverkusen and their Finnish goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky. "Luke" and his team have started the season brilliantly, posing a strong challenge to the perennial favorite, Bayern Munich."

Helsinki Football Club (HJK) has once again made its way to the European fields for the third consecutive year. In the Conference League group stage, HJK's opponents are Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany), PAOK (Greece), and Aberdeen (Scotland). In Aberdeen, Finnish influence comes from Huuhkaja center-back Richard Jensen. HJK faces a tough challenge as the group is exceptionally competitive.
