Quick Guide for Background Music (iOS and Android Devices)

Checklist

Before using Feelment background music, make sure that:
  • You have downloaded the Feelment app. Instructions can be found here.
  • You have an active music subscription or have started a free trial.
  • Your device is connected to the Internet.
  • Your device is connected to speakers (wired or wireless). To ensure the app connects to the correct audio output, connect the device to the speakers first, then open the Feelment app.

Overview of the Feelment app home screen

The background music home screen opens when you log into Feelment. The home screen shows recently played playlists, updated as music is played. Recommended playlists consist of similar playlists you have played before. Recommended for today are, for example, seasonally appropriate. New playlists contain the most recently added playlists in Feelment.

 

Searching for playlists

  1. Tap Search in the bottom menu.

  2. Browse playlists using location or genre buttons.

    1. Filter by tempo using Low / Mid / High buttons.

    2. Filter by age using Old / New buttons.

    3. Tap a playlist name or icon to view details: number of tracks, total duration, description, and track info.

    4. Tap See all playlists to browse all playlists in the app.

  3. To search by keyword, tap Search tracks and playlists.

    1. Type a keyword (e.g., “summer”), and press Enter.

    2. Tap Playlists below the search bar to view playlists matching your search.

 

Playing playlists

You can add a playlist to playback by tapping the play button next to it. You can play multiple playlists simultaneously by tapping the play button for each list. Currently playing playlists are shown at the top of the home screen.

 

Removing a playlist from playback

To remove a playlist from playback, tap the X above it on the home screen. To clear the entire play queue, tap Clear in the Now playing section.

 

Playing playlists in track order

By default, Feelment plays playlists in random order. You can disable shuffle in the app Settings.

 

Searching and playing individual tracks

  1. Tap Search in the bottom menu.
  2. Tap Search tracks and playlists.
  3. Type a keyword in the search bar and press Enter.
  4. You will now see tracks that match your search.
  5. To play a track, tap the three dots next to it.
    1. If you want to play the track immediately, tap Play now.
    2. If you want the track to play after the currently playing track, tap Play next.
    3. If you want the track to move to the end of the play queue, tap Add to queue.
  6. Information about the currently playing track can be seen in the player at the bottom of the app.

 

Can’t find the track you’re looking for?

Check that you have spelled the track or artist name correctly. If the track still can’t be found, you can always contact our customer service at info@feelment.com. We will add missing tracks to the catalog whenever possible.

 

Managing the play queue

You can view the play queue by tapping the player at the bottom of the app. See information about upcoming tracks by tapping Up next.

You can change the order of upcoming tracks by tapping and dragging a track to your desired position.

To remove a track from the queue, swipe left on it (tap, hold, and swipe left).

 

Pausing music and skipping tracks

You can pause music by tapping the ⏸️ button in the player. To skip to the next track, tap the button.

 

Adjusting volume

If you are using the Feelment app on a tablet, you can adjust the volume using the volume button in the player or the device’s physical volume buttons (located on the side of the device). If you are using a phone, adjust the volume using the device’s physical volume buttons.

 

Importing Spotify playlists

  1. Go to My Feelment by typing my.feelment.com into a browser or via the Feelment app:
    1. Tap My Library (main menu button).
    2. Tap Import Spotify playlist.
    3. The app will open the My Feelment website.
  2. Log in to My Feelment with the same credentials as the Feelment app. Detailed instructions for importing Spotify playlists can be found here.
  3. Playlists imported from Spotify will appear in My Library in the Feelment app.

 

Adding a playlist to favorites

  1. Tap the playlist name or icon.
  2. Tap the heart icon below the playlist name.
  3. The playlist added to favorites is now available in My Library (main menu button).

 

Downloading playlists for offline use

  1. Tap the playlist name or icon.
  2. Tap the offline icon (downward arrow).
  3. Tracks will now download to the device. Once downloaded, a cloud icon appears next to the track.

 

Creating your own playlist

You can create your own playlist by tapping Create playlist in My Library.
