Instructions for choosing an Internet connection

Check here for Feelment’s recommendations regarding Internet speed and connection types.

Internet connection

To use Feelment services, you need an Internet connection. Background music and karaoke services also work offline, but in that case, you must download the songs in advance. The device should connect to the Internet at least once a month so the Feelment app can update the status of your active subscriptions.

For high-quality use of Feelment services, you need a sufficiently fast and stable Internet connection. Details and recommendations are below.

Sports channels

Network speed: Minimum 10 Mbps per broadcast. If you show multiple sports broadcasts simultaneously, you need at least 10 Mbps for each broadcast. For three simultaneous broadcasts, the network speed must be at least 30 Mbps.

Background music & karaoke

Network speed: Minimum 5 Mbps.

Feelment always downloads songs offline before playback, after which they are available without an Internet connection. Download times depend on Internet speed — the faster the connection, the quicker the songs download.

If you want to use background music or karaoke offline, download your desired playlists and ready-made karaoke packages in advance in a location with a working Internet connection.

Connection types

Fiber optic: Fastest and most reliable.

  • Pros: Fast and reliable
  • Cons: Most expensive to install

ADSL: Maximum speed 8–24 Mbps

  • Pros: Stable connection
  • Cons: Slow speed

4G: Allows fast connections, but speed varies greatly depending on time of day and network congestion.

Keep these points in mind for your connection

  • Do not use the device on a guest network. The more people using the same network, the slower everyone’s Internet will be.

  • For the best and most stable connection, connect the device via an Ethernet cable. If this isn’t possible, place the router as close as possible to the computer.

  • If you are using a 4G mobile broadband connection, measure the speed in the evening between 7–11 PM to get a realistic view of network performance. You can test your Internet speed here.
