Quick Guide for Advertising

Checklist:

Before using Feelment’s Advertising service, make sure that:

  • You have downloaded the Feelment app to your Windows computer. You can find the download instructions here.

  • You have a Feelment account. You can create a free account here.

  • Your computer is connected to the internet (you’ll need an internet connection to display ad updates and edits).

  • You have connected your computer to a TV screen/digital display with a HDMI cable and verified that “extended display mode” is enabled in your computer settings. You can find additional instructions here.


How Does the Service Work?

Feelment customers can use the Advertising service free of charge. You don’t need to request activation separately — the service is automatically included in all Feelment subscriptions.

Ads are played using the Feelment app installed on a Windows computer. You can access the Advertising section in the Feelment app by clicking the megaphone icon in the sidebar. From the app, you can view the ads currently playing on your displays. Ad management and editing are done on the My Feelment website.

 

Managing Ads in My Feelment

Ads are managed in My Feelment by zones. This means you can display different ads in different locations or zones.

Any edits made in My Feelment will instantly appear in the Feelment app and, consequently, on your digital displays. You can also edit ads remotely through My Feelment.

 

Quick Instructions for Adding Ads

  1. Log in to My Feelment with your own credentials. You can find login instructions here.
  2. From the My Feelment homepage, click Manage Ads.
  3. Under your chosen location and zone, click Ads.
  4. Click Import Ad.
  5. Select the ads you want and click Export Selected.
  6. If you wish, add prices to your ads.
  7. Schedule your ads by weekday and time if needed.
  8. To remove ads, click the three dots.
  9. To rearrange ad order, click and drag the three lines.
  10. When you’re done, click Done (in the upper right corner of the page).

 

Supported Image Sizes and File Formats

You can upload either landscape or portrait ads to the service. Supported file formats are JPEG, PNG, and MP4. Ads must be Full HD images (1920 x 1080 px). Please note that the Advertising service does not support audio, meaning that video sound will not play during playback.

When creating your own ads, we recommend paying attention to the placement of the price bubble. If you add a price to your ad, it will appear in the bottom right corner of the ad. It’s a good idea to leave that corner clear of any essential information so that the price bubble won’t cover it.

Playing Ads Without an Internet Connection

The Feelment app will continue playing ads even when your computer is offline. However, please note that any edits made in My Feelment will only appear after the computer is reconnected to the internet.
